| The Greater Momence Fire Protection District serves an area of 92 square miles and a population of 12,000. This is a modern firehouse with nine fire trucks, a rescue boat, a portable power plant as well as the contracted advance life support ambulance. | The Gladiolus Festival has been held each August in Momence for Nearly 70 years. Drawing area residents as well as visitors from across the country, the Glad fest features multiple parades; an antique auto, truck and tractor show, a giant flea market and craft show; musical entertainment; a giant cornival; and other daily events. |
